Do you have a Apple wireless keyboard ? And a Apple Magic Trackpad ? So maybe, the Clique accessory by Henge Docks will interest you ! Why ? Because it does one simple thing : Combining both devices into one. And why would you want that ? I don’t know… you tell me !

I am interested by the Clique because it allows me to have those devices nicely aligned together and unified. As well, you can finally transport those devices, going to the sofa and/or stepping back from your Mac, relaxing, knowing that you don’t have to juggle to have the keyboard on one lap and the trackpad on the other.

The Clique comes into a simple Mac-style packaging. When you open the box, you get the Clique (well wrapped) and only that. Instructions are printed on and in the box, and really… you don’t need to know how this thing works, it just does. The Clique is made out of plastic… I was reluctant at first because I do not want my setup to look like a Toy R Us toy, yet it works and fits fine : The plastic is glossy (I personally don’t really like that) and white (it fits with the keyboard keys).

One smart thought from the folks at Henge Docks : there is 2 power buttons on the Clique. One on the side for the Trackpad and another one at the back for the keyboard. They are coloured with a ugly grey that does not really fit to the aluminium of the Apple devices, yet they do the trick and work.

One last thing : the price ! over priced. It is priced around $25 dollars, right now the direct conversion into pounds is around £16 pounds. If you think about it, you are paying for a piece of plastic only. Yet what it does it does it well, even with the bit of criticism above. This is the kind of product you would expect to see on Amazon web site for £9.99 pounds.

That is why I am marking it a 6 out of 10. But don’t be misleaded, if you need its functions, it is a worthwhile and useful product that will keep the coolness of your Mac setup at home. And you might even impress some friends !
